Teen took limousine for joyride

Posted In: News by Limo Team

A 14-year-old Newton boy allegedly stole an unoccupied limousine undergoing repairs at a local gas station and took it for a joyride on Tuesday night, police said. - Daily Record

A resident has reported seeing a limousine run over traffic cones, after which the stretch stopped and a person ran out of it. Shortly after a 14 year old teenager has been arrested walking by close to the scene, fitting the description of the suspect. Currently he has been released to the parents, awaiting a lawsuit.

The owner of limousine has purchased it for private use and left the car for repairs and the mechanics shop. Teenager saw an opportunity for a fun ride and took advantage of the open door and keys in the ignition. The ride was not long and limo has not sustained heavy damages. Everything turned out OK, and the teenager got good memories to lack back at when he hits 20s.

The limo was registered to Joseph Luchetti, 45, of Newton, police said. Damage estimates were unavailable, but the limo was operable after the crash and was returned to the service station, police said.

Taxi Scheme in Las Vegas

Posted In: News by Limo Team

Taxi companies have been caught running illegal operations in Las Vegas, hauling male passengers to strip joints and clubs that pay them money for doing so. According to a PR release by the Jay Edelson (lawyer in charge of the lawsuit):

taxi and limousine drivers demanded payments from the clubs of as much as $100 per male passenger.  If the clubs refused to pay, the  drivers would simply divert passengers to a different club.

The $100 figure is likely very inflated. My guess would be anywhere from $20 to $50 per male passenger. Nevertheless, the scheme is active and it seems to work.

What is funny is that families and females are having a much harder time catching a cab at late hour than males.

As taxi drivers prefer to pick up men who are more likely to go to strip clubs, the suit claims that families and women were snubbed by drivers and found it hard to hail a cab at  night.

The suit has been brought by Theodore Trapp as a nationwide class. There are over 2 dozen defendants, including taxi and limousine companies.

Obama Limo Overview

Posted In: limousines by Limo Team

Obama has been in the office for half a year now. He has his ups and downs, but politics is beyond this blog. What matters to us is his limo. His bullet proof, rocket sustaining, armored 4 wheels of luxury protection.

Here’s how the beast looks:

Some of the security personnel who have worked with the limo joke that it can sustain meteor attacks. Though we’re not sure about the meteors, we know for sure that it can take .44 Magnum at point blank and has no problem fending off assault rifle and machine gun fire.

The real test for the car would be with an RPG or a grenade launcher, as a stretched Mercedes 600S has sustained a grenade launcher attack, and in fact kelp rolling for 100 meters before halting. The attack was in Russia, Moscow, on one of the mafioso - businessman, who apparently crossed some people. Ironically the car has been given to him as a birthday present. What would be even more ironic, and we will never find that out, if the car was given as a present by the same guy who ordered the assassination.

Guess I watched too many Gangsta flicks.
